"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" – Anatole France
France’s words resonate deeply with our beliefs, inspiring us to act with all our hearts. Our foundation is launching a new initiative driven by love and care for animals. While many of us cherish animals, strays often go unheard, and their needs overlooked. To make them a healthier part of our society, it’s essential to extend care and compassion.
This is a joint initiative with veterinary students at GB Pant University, dedicated to supporting stray animals in the local area of the university.
Currently, we are looking to provide timely support for animals in need, including those rescued from road accidents. These incidents often result in severe injuries such as fractures, internal bleeding, shock, or head trauma. To reduce such accidents, we also use radium collars to identify and make strays visible from a distance, enhancing their safety.
We also plan to establish feeding stations at key locations, utilizing surplus and leftover food from hostels. These stations will be refilled at regular intervals, making it easier for the community to contribute to animal welfare while helping to keep public areas cleaner and more organized.
Beyond helping animals, this initiative also benefits veterinary students by offering valuable hands-on practice under the guidance of their seniors.
Our aspiration extends far beyond—to improve the lives of domestic animals across the country. We strive for a comprehensive approach to animal rescue and medical care through effective communication and meaningful action.
This initiative marks our modest beginning to create a safer, healthier environment for stray and domestic animals alike. Through the power of community collaboration, student learning, and effective care practices, we aspire to drive meaningful change. Together, we can cultivate a society where every animal is respected, nurtured, and given the opportunity to flourish.
